iBailout!! is a loving spoonful of new-school action arcade goodness, painstakingly crafted over the course of most of 2009 with a team of three full-time members (Design & Production, Art, and Programming) and one part-time member (Sound Design & Music) working on it together over the course of four-months+.

iBailout!! is a new-school arcade experience, because of the countless iterations undertaken to get everything just right (76 builds to be exact–if I recall correctly), the fine and proper balance between accessibility and challenge and the depth of play and structured longevity of the experience that most arcade games of the past just aren’t concerned about, and the envelope pushing theme of the Federal Reserve and the exploration of political current events in game form. I designed and conceived iBailout!!, so it’s obviously easy for me to think this way, but, really, how many games are out there that have a serious and meaningful political satire as their foundation? Truly, it’s very few that have a serious and meaningful anything (not that fun for the sake of fun isn’t perfectly legitimate on its own, though).

iBailout!! is a new-school arcade experience because it represents the realization of a very singular vision (brought to life in concert with a beyond great and very talented team (whom were paid in meager amounts of indie money, which is kind of like Monopoly money, except that stores will accept it and it’ll never be enough to pay off the bank; later, if it’s been good indie money and enough of you fine folks support iBailout!!, it turns into real money and it’s brand name beer and high-quality pizzas with extra sauce for the whole team)), it’s obviously inspired of classic arcade greats and pays homage to them in its design and mechanics, it’s a challenge and high score-based game where repeat playings only result in greater satisfaction, development of skill and subsequent sense of accomplishment and feelings of reward, and because iBailout!! is just plain fun and exciting.

iBailout!! is a brand new kind of action arcade game and represents an innovative, solid, and fun play style and progressively rewarding gameplay with a theme and satire that’s truly out for blood.
